You DESERVE to have the public safety taxes you ALREADY pay be allocated to YOUR first responders, including YOUR fire department, to properly support YOUR firefighters and paramedics.
Wabash Township Fire Department (WTFD) has been seeking access to Public Safety Income Tax dollars that have already been paid for by the residents of Unincorporated Wabash Township. We need you to speak up in support of YOUR fire department, as we seek to access the funds that you have already been paying!
Wabash Township is requesting that $750,000 be allocated for WTFD, to enable us to add a 6th firefighter per shift and help us pay for upcoming capital expenses.
For YOUR fire department to access these funds, two (2) of the following (3) units must vote in favor of allocating funds to WTFD:
Tippecanoe County Council
Lafayette City Council
West Lafayette City Council ✅
While our requests for the tax dollars YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID were overlooked and dismissed for the last three years, Wabash Township continues to work diligently to finally secure access to these funds.
This year, Wabash Township Fire Department gained the support of the West Lafayette City Council at their July meeting, which we are grateful for. We now need your help to gain the support of the Tippecanoe County Council and the Lafayette City Council.
